Our Statement of Beliefs and Covenant

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Jesus, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory as seen in Revelation 22:12 NLT. "Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds."

We celebrate the ordinances of Believers Baptism and the Lord's Supper, demonstrating our obedience to the commandments of Jesus.

We believe in and practice the ordinance of water baptism of a believer  in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, which signifies the believer's death, burial, and resurrectiion into new life with Jesus.

We believe in and practice the ordinance of the Lord's Supper as seen in 1st Corinthians 11:26; For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord's death until he comes again. (NLT)

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and is the third person of the Trinity. He convicts of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. He guides the believer into all truth, seals the believer unto the day of final redemption, He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism and service.

We believe Salvation involves the redemption of the whole person, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own shed blood obtained for us eternal regeneration, sanctification and glorification.

We are the Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church and this is what we are called to do. . . .

We are each called to share the responsibility of our church by praying for its growth and by inviting the unchurched to attend, and warmly welcoming those who visit us.  It is our responsibility and duty to win the lost to Jesus that is supported by Matthew 28:19, Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

As Believers in Jesus Christ, we will contribute of our means cheerfully and liberally as seen in 2nd Corinthians 9:7-8.  “You must each decide in your heart how much to give, and don’t give reluctantly, for God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”  God will generously provide all you need.  Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. (NLT).

We will serve the ministry of this church by discovering where God wants us to serve.  We will use our gifts and talents to bless and nurture one another toward spiritual maturity measured by the life and ministry of Jesus.  We will encourage the discouraged, help the weak, be patient with one another and forgive one another as the Lord forgave us.

We are the Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church and we covenant that we will set aside a regular time for family worship, consisting of prayer, Bible reading, and the discussion of biblical truths thereby, making our homes a place where Jesus would be welcomed at all times.

Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.  To the only wise God, our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forevermore.  Amen
