Residue of a Most Perfect Day

Church is now over and the events of this day have come to a halt but not the meories.  The section of the lower level where I am standing is empty quiet now but a picture is forever etched in my memory of an eternal celebration.

About a year and a half ago this young lady came into the youth Sunday school class as a guest and friend of one of our youth and she has never left.  Kierra has always been honest abot her knowledge of the Bible, never afraid to say, "I don't know" or "I don't understand", which never stopped her from participating in class.  From the beginning to this very day, she has always contributed and completed her part.  Replaying the events of this day and all that came before reminded me that, "knowledge doesn"t only come from what you have been taught, it also stems from what you are willing to reveal about yourself and how much of you you're willing to give.

Today, I witnessed a young lady's "Idon't knws" turn into an "Amen" ...as she gave a certainly before her mom, those in attendance for her support, and the Heavenl Host rejoincing to her outward expresion of an inward change.  I know God will bless her and keep her all the days of her life (as He has promised, Romans 8:28-29).  My prayer is that she allows Him to change the things that need to be changed and keep the part of her that led to this day, and may God give her the wisdom to know the difference.

Wait...As if this day could get any more beautiful, Icould see the wet foot prints that led from the baptismal pool to the changing room....I couldn't help but smile at "The Residue of A Most Pefect Day".

May God continue to get the glory!
